Matusalem is González Byass’ cream V.O.R.S. with an average of 30 years. After ageing separately for aproximately 15 years the two grape varieties, 75% Palomino and 25% Pedro Ximénez, are blended. The blend then enters into the Matusalem Solera where it spends another 15 years. A process attentivelly supervised by the winemaker and master blender Antonio Flores.
Not to mistake the name for the bottle size, the Matusalem surely ensures a glass of grandeur. Over the years spent in cask, the wine has acquired an intense mahogany colour with aromas of dried fruits, raisins, spices and mature wood, as well as leather and cocoa.
The combination of an interesting bitter sweet finish due to its mix of the two grape varieties make it an exceptional wine with a smooth, sweet, long and velvety palate.
