Manzanilla Solear en Rama Saca de Verano 2021 (37.5 cl)

For the last years, bodegas Barbadillo are said to be the first to be experimenting with the ‘en Rama’ versions of their famous Manzanilla’s. In fact they were the pioneers of the entire style of Manzanilla wines with an estimated first bottling in 1821. The en Rama wines are bottled with minimal filtering, using protein just like in the old days.
For each ‘Saca’ only +/- 2000 bottles are released per year. Verano means ‘summer’ in Spanish referring to the moment the Sherry was being drawn from the barrel. Each edition of Solear In Rama features a different animal that lives in the nearby National “Parque de Doñana”.
Reminding of the famous Solear Manzanilla, this particular Saca has a bright yellow color with golden accents. In the nose it has the typical fragrant aroma from Sanlúcar de Barrameda. A soft taste, maintaining some well balanced bitter notes leaving a delicate impression of saltiness. A long and tasty aftertast to enjoy.

Call Manzanilla Pasada overripe and she will never look at you again. Right near the end of her education she is allowed the slightest bit of oxidation. Producing subtle notes of hazelnut and tobacco. Making her the ideal companion for the primary dishes in your meal.
