Manzanilla Pasada en Rama Pastora saca 2016 (37.5 cl)

Pionering seems to be in the DNA of Bodegas Barbadillo. For the last years, they were not only the first to be experimenting with the ‘en Rama’ versions of their famous Manzanilla’s. Bodegas Barbadillo was in fact the pioneer of the entire style of Manzanilla wines with an estimated first bottling in 1821. The wines are bottled with minimal filtering, using protein just like in the old days.
The Manzanilla Pasada en Rama Pastora differs exclusively from the Solear en Rama as the wine is a lot older. This Manzanilla comes from the exquisite Pastora winery, not to be missed when visiting their impressive bodega in Sanlúcar de Barrameda.
Being older, the wine is more intense and a bit heavier, with more “body” and length. The Pastora has a yellow color with golden accents. A fragrant aroma yet being soft, somewhat salty when tasting the wine. The aftertaste is long giving time to explore the depth of flavors.
