Founded in 1781 by Juan Sánchez de la Torre, Bodegas Sánchez Romate is among the few remaining family-owned sherry houses in Jerez de la Frontera. With over two centuries of history, the bodega produces a diverse range of sherries, including Fino Marismeño, Amontillado NPU, Oloroso Don José, and Palo Cortado Regente, all aged using the traditional solera system in American oak casks.

Their flagship brandy, Cardenal Mendoza, introduced in 1887, is a Solera Gran Reserva aged for an average of 15 years in casks previously seasoned with Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherries. Sánchez Romate also crafts sherry vinegars and maintains vineyards in the esteemed Pago Balbaína, ensuring quality from vine to bottle.
