Winemaking legacy dating back to 1631

Bodegas Barón, nestled in Sanlúcar de Barrameda’s historic Barrio Alto, boasts a winemaking legacy dating back to 1631.

Established by the Romero de la Balsa family and revitalized in 1895 by Manuel Barón Fernández, the bodega has preserved its ancient soleras, including those acquired from Anselmo Paz.

Today, under the stewardship of the Rodríguez Carrasco family, Bodegas Barón harmoniously blends tradition with innovation. Their portfolio features a diverse range of sherries, from the delicate Manzanilla to robust Oloroso and Amontillado, with notable labels like Micaela and Xixarito.

Committed to sustainability, they cultivate 140 hectares of albariza vineyards, ensuring quality from vine to bottle . Visitors are invited to experience their rich heritage through guided tours and tastings in cellars that have matured wines for nearly four centuries.
